Considerations related to the size of the video
The program's purpose is to display a video loop as animated wallpaper on your desktop under your desktop icons.
In order to do this without severe penalties on your CPU/RAM, the program needs to firstly to extract the frames from your movie/video file.
Because the frames are saved as uncompressed BMPs the program will require a lot of hard drive space if your video sequence is long (more than 1 minute) and at very high resolution.
If you don't have more than 1GB of disk space available, try to keep your videos short.
Don't worry, the frames will be automatically deleted every time you start a new video wallpaper animation.
How much CPU is need to display a video as animated desktop wallpaper?
The program does not decode the movie on-the-fly in order to show it as video wallpaper on your desktop.
Instead it extract the frames before starting the animation. Because of this the program will waste no CPU at all.
On a Intel i3 at 2.2GHz the CPU utilization is under 0.1%.
